Raindrops flower on the windowpane
And I am the cradle becoming my own.
Moonbows legendary in your tale,
Dreading the eyeless flock's return.
Lie to the world and dream of all right
Because we all believe in a story.
Child's play nameless to all but emotion
And I am not sentient to fear.
Paint a great picture on all of the forest
And leave me alone with the tune:
For melody's harmonies writing my symphonies
To leave me in hope of the sky.
Sapience overrides all of the feelings
And slipping inside of my head -
Majestic importance is taking its course
And nothing can sooner be left.
Lie to me softly, tell me the story
Of flowers wilting from words.
How language is spoken and torn into pieces
And the leaves all fall to weep.
And teach me of innocence - I'm in sore need of it:
I've lost my mind to the world.
Told me a rhyme too spoken to quote
And nothing that matters once told.
So take the gavel and don't breathe in
It can't be the morning 'till sunrise.
Let me imagine a time where everything
Wasn't made of my age.
Lie to the world and dream of all right
Because we all believe in a story.
Child's play nameless to all but emotion
And I am not sentient to fear.
